The Junto is a gathering in Philadelphia, inspired by Ben Franklin’s club by the same name. This Thursday is the next one. Check it out.
Our next Junto will ask the question that first occurred to humans with the invention of hammer.
Title: Is technology really making our lives better?
Subject: Our goal is to answer this question by identifying and discussing how technology is influencing culture and how we think. Using the equation: B = S + E - C, where the technology benefit (B) comes from simplification (S) and efficiency (E) minus the additional complication (C).Specifically we’ll be addressing whether or not Cell Phones, Security Technology and the Internet have benefited or complicated our lives more.
Panel:
Reed Gustow, Philadelphia New Media Association (PANMA) board member
Jason Tremblay, Web Developer and member of Independents Hall
